During the first major technology fair of the year, many new features are being presented to the market. It is true that on the side of Samsung the public, in general, really wants to see the new Samsung Galaxy S21, which arrive on the 14th, but in the meantime, the company has much more to reveal. In the universe of domestic robots today, some proposals that may be part of our home were announced earlier than what you think.
Have you ever thought what it would be like to have a robot serve you wine at dinner? And putting the dishes in the machine?
After an afternoon of online broadcasts yesterday, Samsung made known its vision for the future. He showed how he is working to offer artificial intelligence to the domestic market and the robots revealed were surprising.
Handy Bot - one more hand to help at home
Perhaps the most surprising is the Samsung Bot Handy. As the name implies, this robot is distinguished by its robotic hand and arm, therefore able to perform some daily tasks.
In the demonstration video, we can then see the robot waving to the interlocutor and even answering him. In addition, it has cameras that assess space and, through AI, it is possible to recognize objects and interact with them. For example, you can see the robot putting dishes from the sink to the dishwasher or fixing a forgotten piece of clothing in the room.
Another demonstration then involves setting the table for a meal or even filling a glass of wine.
Samsung Bot Care - what are your needs?
Another of the robots on display was Bot Care, which actually appears as an improvement on the robot already announced last year. The model in question was designed to take care of its user in the smallest details, through AI.
It will be a robot that assesses the user's behaviors, keeps reminding them and even serves as a personal assistant. In the demonstration video, we see the robot, for example, suggesting the person to take a break from work, since it has been sitting for a long time. You can also see Bot Care preparing its screen to start a video call.
These models were made known, but there are no predictions to be placed on the market. It is certain that they are very interesting advances for the domestic segment.
Samsung JetBot 90 AI + - the robot vacuum cleaner
If the previous models will not be seen in our homes in the near future as expected, the same cannot be said of the JetBot 90 AI +. This robot vacuum cleaner should be launched in the first half of the year.
The JetBot 90 AI + vacuum cleaner uses LiDAR and 3D sensors to discover the ideal cleaning path. Samsung says it can wrap around cables and small objects, unlike most similar products available on the market today. In addition, it still makes the best way to enter difficult to access areas of the home.
With an integrated surveillance camera system, it can therefore be used as an additional means of security.
