The two largest planets in the solar system, Jupiter and Saturn, are so close together that they shine as if they were one. The phenomenon called conjunction is a rare moment, which can be observed with the naked eye, with the sky uncovered, or even better with the help of a telescope or binoculars. Nelson Nunes, from the Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Lisbon and founder of the Observatório do Lago Alqueva (OLA), where he can watch the event, talks about this unique moment in our lives.
