The Call of Duty League 2021 had its first information revealed regarding its calendar on Wednesday (13).
The contest will feature five qualifying tournaments up to the category Major and will start on February 11th, where four days of competition will be held.
Call of Duty League 2021 first tournament on the calendar revealed!
In addition, the calendar will also be officially opened with the Call of Duty League Kickoff Classic, which is a friendly pre-season tournament between the main teams on the scene, on the 23rd and 24th of January.
The Kickoff Classic will also feature an open vote to the community to vote on the clashes that will take place throughout the competition.
Possible opponents are:
- Champions Dallas Empire (CDL 2020 champion): New York Subliners, London Royal Ravens and Paris Legion
- Atlanta FaZe: Los Angeles Guerrillas, Florida Mutineers and Seattle Surge
- OpTic Chicago (ex-Chicago Huntsmen): Toronto Ultra, Minnesota RØKKR and LA Thieves
After this opening, the public will be able to witness the first official duels of the CDL between February 11th and 14th. 12 teams were selected to function as a franchise representing their cities.
The first qualifying tournament towards the Major will be hosted by Atlanta FaZe. And the first teams that started the disputes are: Dallas Empire (current champion), New York Subliners, London Royal Ravens, Paris Legion, Atlanta FaZe, Los Angeles Guerrillas, Florida Mutineers, Seattle Surge, OpTic Chicago (ex-Chicago Huntsmen), Toronto Ultra, Minnesota RØKKR and LA Thieves.
At the moment the full schedule, awards and the format of the Call of Duty League 2021, which in 2021 will be online due to the Covid-19 pandemic, have not yet been revealed.
The eight best teams over the five qualifying rounds of the season qualify for the Major, who still does not have any information released yet.
