Accenture acquired Arca, which specializes in engineering services with a focus on 5G network operations. Although the terms of the deal were not disclosed, the 640 employees of the Iberian company joined Accenture.
The consultant explains that the acquisition will boost the company’s network capabilities in Spain and Portugal, “offering customers a comprehensive set of transformation services, ranging from the structure of the 5G network to engineering, operations and industry services”.
Arca, which has 14 offices in Spain and Portugal, provides multidisciplinary services for network operations, supported by an integrated platform that automates monitoring, optimizes processes and predicts system anomalies.
According to Accenture, the combination of resources with its SynOps platform will increase the company’s ability to help organizations direct operational models to new forms of growth.
For Domingo Mirón, president of Accenture Iberia, “5G, the cloud and edge computing will start a new phase of change and innovation for organizations”. “With the acquisition of Arca, we have strengthened our capabilities to help customers accelerate the transformation of their 5G network, from design to implementation and operation.”
Eduardo Fitas, Managing Director at Accenture Portugal, responsible for the Communications, Media and Technology areas, says that Arca’s experience in network services complements the consultant’s strategy, allowing “to drive innovation to unlock the potential of 5G”.
